Lara Serafin is a versatile composer and orchestrator based in London, UK, whose work spans instrumental, electronic, and experimental music. She has made notable contributions to film, television, and live performances.
Lara’s composition credits include Universelles, a mini-series that explores the complex relationship between two women in Brussels. Directed by Céline Ribard, the series is praised for its intimate portrayal of love and the city’s vibrant culture. Lara also composed scores for Ribard’s short films Krater and Vamp.
Additionally, Lara has collaborated with renowned composer Isobel Waller-Bridge across a multitude of projects. She composed additional music to the feature film Embers, and orchestrated films The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, an Oscar and BAFTA-winning animated short, and The Lesson, a psychological thriller. She also orchestrated music from Isobel’s EP VIII for a performance by the BBC Concert Orchestra in 2023.

Furthermore, she assisted with the orchestral arrangements and score for Floating Points' ballet Mere Mortals, which premiered to great acclaim at the San Francisco Ballet in January 2024. This ballet, a contemporary exploration of the Pandora myth, received widespread praise for its innovative fusion of electronic and classical music.
More recently, Lara released two Bandcamp-only EPs: "Stoichea EP," an electroacoustic exploration into recording practices of natural elements, and "press//light," two electronic tracks with all proceeds going towards the WWF.
